How It Started
Built by a Contractor Who Got Tired of Watching It Done Wrong
Marcus Katz spent a decade working for other contractors before founding KATZ Remodeling in 2009. He'd seen too many homeowners get burned — by shoddy work, by crews who disappeared mid-project, by contractors who promised one thing and delivered another.
He started KATZ with a simple idea: run every job the way you'd want your own home handled. Show up on time. Communicate clearly. Do the work right. Stand behind it.
Fifteen years and 500+ projects later, that idea is still the foundation of everything we do. We've grown from a two-man crew in Austin to a full-service remodeling company serving homeowners across Texas — but the standard hasn't changed.
